About the Journal

The Journal of Economic Sciences is a peer-reviewed scientific research journal published quarterly by the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah. Founded in 1981, the journal focuses on publishing research in the fields of economics, management, accounting, finance, and management information systems. All submitted research undergoes a rigorous peer-review process by a committee of specialized experts before publication. The journal welcomes research contributions from Iraqi, Arab, and international researchers alike, in both Arabic and English. The journal is published quarterly, with a total of four issues annually.

The Journal of Economic Sciences aims to:

1- Encourage and foster international, regional, and local knowledge sharing in the fields of economics, administration, accounting, finance, and management information systems—disciplines that contribute to building innovative and creative societies.

 

2- Promote innovative research that addresses real-world challenges facing the Iraqi, Arab, and global economies.

 

3-  Play a pivotal role in bridging the knowledge gap by focusing on best practices and lessons learned, thereby elevating local and regional standards to a global level.
